Spoken like a newbie.

For once I can agree with you... :lol

I used to think that FH had no place other than big commercial jobs but I'll eat my words. I've had a FH setup in the shop for the past few months and it has changed my view. Considering that I used to work solely out of the van and it was mostly residential it didn't make sense space, time and setup wise. But here in a static location where I can precut jobs ahead with ease, I am now sold.

This FH has already paid itself off with the film I've saved that would have normally been scrap, and we are only talking 4-5 months.

Where can you get the bracket for the Filmhandler that was used for mounting it on the wall?

I know someone used to make them I seem to remember seeing them in a catalog or something but I can't find it now.

Yep. Never used it for auto, as I have a plotter for that, but if I still hand cut cars, I see the savings with it. Any resi/comm job over 40-50 sq ft, or 5+ windows, I use the FH. Yeah, it takes a couple more trips to the van to unload and reload, but it only takes a minute or so to setup, plus you look the part when its setup at someones house. I get so many customers that are amazed with it. Seems to make them instantly feel comfortable about the install. I suggest keeping it clean and free of tape. Same with the ladder it mounts to.

Brackets from home improvement store.

For hanging film rolls get a I-inch dowel, cut to desired length and hang it on this closet shelf bracket. Also, you can place a board as shelving for holding extra box(es) of film.

Buy some U-channel from the same store, cut it to desired length and attach it upside down on the end lip of the dowel holder for your straight edge.
