I find myself more and more walking away from residential security film proposals due to "promises" my competition as stated.  Aside from that, its the customer who may also make me walk away due to un-realistic desires, biggest issue being a back door.  Typical situation is a 21x64 with the two piece frame or a 21x80 with no screws exposed and they want to prevent someone from coming in.  Its just too easy for a low life thief to kick the door in, which makes the film application obsolete.  May times I tell the customer to reinforce the door framing, add keyed interior locks, and put half glass doors in.  I always tell them I can do the install, but it may be for nothing without these simple deterrents.
