Global QDP vs Global HP

Recommended Posts

I am a fairly new tinter. Have been using Global QDP. I've got the RD's pretty good but still have a little trouble with the back glass. Question, does the Global HP shrink different thean the Global QDP?

Have only used the Global QDP so I have nothing to comapre it too.

Do different brands shrink different? (example, do some require more heat)

Thanks for feedback.

I have used both HP and QDP and I say they are almost identical. Shrink is pretty much the same. The HP might take a bit more heat as the metal reflecting the heat some....

There all diff . Some are thinner or thicker. Just keep the gun moving fast. Pre shrink the top and bottom. How you get global I can never get a hold of them or are they direct tint?

I get my Global from Express Films in Ct. The owners on here Howard .... 800-345-6669

Global is a great cost effective film it has really good adhesive and shrinks very well. I also use express house brand and love that as well.

It's how you shrink and how fast you shrink and the amount of heat you use....I have HP on my Lexus wagon and prefer to use it.

But I have customers that don't want to pay for a longer lasting film...

Global QDP (Quick Dry Plus) and Global CHP (HP Charcoal Premium) are identical products.

The HP version has been passed thru the metalizer (vapor deposited aluminum), so it rejects more heat than the QDP. These are both Lifetime Warranty Color Stable Films.

Have a great night !

I think global shrinks horrid unless it's changed in the past couple years. Seems it shank into little shrivels and wanted to crease right at the end especially wet shrinking. I guess when you are used to shrinking suntek then switch to that it's a bit of a learning curve, i just got impatient with trying to learn that curve..

I can say that Suntek CXP just about MELTED with the heat I throw at film. I didn't like shrinking it as well. I can shrink any film that I have had thrown at me so far and find very little difference in them. Some shrink a bit faster and some a bit slower, but other than that I don't see a big difference.
