Good upper body work out!

Recommended Posts

Not a strip required but just as good a workout I reckon.

Ultra600 applied.

Top panes were 2.4 length and 1.4 for the bottoms.

applied in 2 days or 14 hours total.

No caulk required and a scissor supplied from the builder.

Had another R&R yesterday with similar vintage tint not quite as old but certainly just as crumbly! Only three large panes so may need to do some push ups to get back in the zone! Although I did move house on the weekend so still got a good workout!

Here she is. The demon. Place was a thousand years old. Old dirty timber frames, old film done in a time where a gap of 10mm round all edges must have been acceptable.....

Not to mention to fill these gaps a nice thick run of silicone was around the edges.....

It began,

And on the 7th hour, The Mint Tint said, "let there be no light gaps!" And it was done

We removed and relaced 30 year old tint from a house yesterday! Without a doubt the oldest, crispy, powdery and nasty FG tint I have ever encountered!

Just curious what's the oldest FG film you have come across?

Was that Darth Vaders holiday home?

I've removed stuff that the owner claims was installed in the 70's but usually the owners have lost any identifying paperwork to really tell how long it has been up.

I usually dry scrape old FG film off, but when it comes off powdery like that, I will wet it down or at least make my installers wear safety specs and dust masks.

It cant be good for you breathing that crap in.

Have to agree there, the dust in the air is all getting breathed in,
