How many cars out of a 40x100 roll

Recommended Posts

Currently I purchase all of my rolls 60" cut 38x22 but thinking of going to upsell film but only going with 40" roll to start out with.

On my 60" roll I can get 17 cars give or take (Depending on 2 door, 4 door or just 2 front etc) but all in all its about 17 cars I have found.

Just curios what you guys get out of a 40" roll so I can kick around a price point for the upsell film.

Thanks

Doug

It will average out to be about 10 cars per 40" roll if you do not waste film. I always divide the cost of a 40" roll by 10 to get a rough cost of window film per car for costing purposes. Some cars may use a little more, some a little less, but 10 is a good number.

I always found a good way to estimate cost on a typical 4 door car (If splitting a 40" roll) is this:

Front roll up windows 36-38" pull

Back roll up windows 28-33" pull

Vent/Quarter windows (if you can't use the scrap from the fronts) 4-10" pull

Back Glass 50-54" pull

Windshield strip (Hope you have enough extra scrap from back glass)
