So there's this so called "Business Owner" who has the website TheTintDude.com and TTDOHIO.com who offers $149.99 Mobile Auto Tinting servicing Ohio and a few other states. I come to find out this is not a legit business. He's not a registered business in Ohio nor is he registered with the Dept of Motor Vehicle repair as required in Ohio. It's obvious this guy is not paying any taxes and is stealing business from the rest of us legit business owners. I was able to do some research online and the site is registered to a Jule Willis and the only address I could find is an old address in Reno Nevada and Dayton Ohio. Does anyone know this guy or have more info on him? The site only lets you contact him via a contact form. I also found he used to own 775 Motorsports in Reno but was shut down by officials in Reno in 2008. Rick, I also wasn't sure if he was infringing on your trademarked or copyrighted name as well. Anyways, any help would be appreciated as these types of tinters are a virus in the industry.

WOW! I missed that one...lol so I wonder what you are supposed to use to clean your windows with??

There is a number to call on the newer site. The site btw, was created online using stock photos-and text.. there are other automotive related fields with sites using the exact same wording! Personally I'd be embarrassed by that site, and his old one seemed legit, legalities aside

      TintX Puremax and Koolmax

      All Right cool. I've been practicing with an inexpensive tint I found on amazon. Its called Rockrose. I'm just about ready to make some cards to pass around to get clientele. I've been debating if I should start with Puremax cuz its a lot cheaper or Geoshield cuz of the great quality I've heard of. I'll probably go with Geoshield so I can make it easy on myself and make sure I do great quality work for my customers. Are you already doing doing jobs for customers? If so, did you stop using the Puremax and now only use Geoshield?

      Heavy Ghosting - Geoshield "Geo" Line

      Ghosting week require a smoother, more even and spread out shrink. Look at my old "ryk shrink" using 2 heart guns with an over/under setup. That would be my suggestion.

      Heavy Ghosting - Geoshield "Geo" Line

      Hey all, I am not a pro tinter but more or less just someone who likes to experiment / DIY. Wanted to ask if there was anyone here who has used the Geoshield "Geo" line for automotive purposes? I really like the color, but I get really bad ghosting for anything that requires decent shrinking. The film is specced as architectural, but has a PS adhesive so some use it in auto applications. I sent an email to see if that is the reason why it's for flat glass .. lol This is a sputtered TiN film and has a beautiful color imho. This reminds me of Huper Optik, and not quite sure but I think Johnson had a line called "InsulatIR" that I could never get my hands on to try. The film has a slightly purplish reflection (TiN I guess), when put on green auto glass, filters out and looks super neutral. ❤️ I've had it on my auto for a while but my rear window is a mess when the sun hits it (ghosting) and was curious if this is just not suitable for auto Any info would be appreciated. Skill issue, ie: shrink with lower heat? lol Thanks.

      chameleon window tint good quality

      If you don't mind trying to source some, there is a large Japanese manufacturer that makes a bunch of dichroic - looking films. It might be your style, but it would be hard to get your hands on some. https://www.braintec.co.jp/filmlab/ I believe some of the films do have decent heat-rejection, but because of the nature of the films, looking through them can be really funky. They are well-known in Japan and would likely be of decent quality. Also, very expensive. Depending on where you are, shipping would also be $$$.

      TintX Puremax and Koolmax

      I feel the difference in quality with geoshield. Not only is it easier to peel the liner off but shrinking feels better and I think the material feels slightly thicker(helps with not creasing) Only downside that the price noticeably different. For mainly everything Its atleast another 100 on top of for example stuff from tints Lexen. I haven’t tried solarfree either.

      At least twice, yes. Although since we don't know what vehicle it is you're planning to tint, that was a bit presumptuous of me.
