Well after reading how peanuts can be largely down to the shrink method used and over shrinking etc, I switched to the soap shrink method and used a hard card to flatten the film as I go,

What a massive difference! Did two audi a4s today and had maybe 1 peanut on each car,

This is the only method I use from now on, just installs so much easier,

"peanuts" - puckers on defroster lines shaped like a peanut many times.  Mostly due to poor shrinking techniques that have the film less than smooth.  The result of film trying to remain in the shape it it and not adhere to the window.  Defroster lines cause the adhesive bond to be less than plain glass so that is where it happens.

The hard card you use also makes a difference, IMO the black teflon is the easiest to shrink with.

I used the black one for a long time. Then I got the platinum one from Dragon, throw some slip tape on it (I did with the black Teflon also) and it's off to the races. It's firmer so when it gets hot from the gun it's about the same as the black card before it gets "soft" .
