G'day guys.

Got a new 60" roll of carbon auto film.

Static pulling it out is pretty bad.

Any ideas of eliminating it or at least making it a bit better?

Are you pulling it off a FH? If so, try grounding it.

Hand cutting on my bench.

Being a 60" it's a pain to pull out. Never been this bad before.

I have had that happen a time or two. I would get a new roll with a different batch/lot number and send the other film back. If you used a plotter, you could unroll enough film and wait a minute or so to allow the static to go bye bye and then continue on.

^{well if you won't stop wearing the nylons (and who could blame you wink  wink), I would suggest lightly misting the air around the film as you pull it.}

heard a trick but never got to try it.  Lay the bare film roll in a room and on some carpet for a bit....supposed to suck the static out of the roll.
