2015 vw jetta pain in the ass

I just did one today. I think they are simple. I don't pull gasket and I have no trouble with those. 1.5hr or less on those.

Just spray the side seals and when you slide the film in the seals just push on the glass at the same time.

I'll take these over many of the VWs out there.

Sweeps come out easy, pull the plastic cover off, unscrew bolt then lift out.

how about the felt seals, is anyone else taping them off....?

Did one just the other day . Yep, pull bottom gasket, tape side felt gaskets, easy and clean after doing so

Back window was a pain for me but got the job done came out clean had alot of felt problems any tips I'm new to the tint world been tinting for like 3 months now still learning new stuff all the time

Taping the felt will be one of those things there it only takes about a minute but will save you a major headache if done. IMO

I rarely tape the felt, although I know it works for some. I've found that my technique in cleaning and installing allows me to do them without taping.

i tape off the whole frame if it's felt. top and sides. This way I know for sure there will never be any run off onto the window.
