the heat absorbtion would be to high for say a double pane glass with auto film in 05 20 or even 35%, If its clear single pane tempered you can pretty much install any film however most manufacturer's wont warranty it. You have to look at shading, how much sun windows get, and if windows are laminted, double pane, old single pane glass will break no matter what. Hope that helps.

So you are a newbie and post a question where others with knowledge and experience try to hold your hand , and point you in the right direction. Then put a film that will likely cause adverse issues on anyway. Saying it's the customers choice. ...Perfect, .... God I hate newbies

No warranty... what are you going to do if the films fails? Are you willing to re-tint at no charge or are you going to break it to the customer that you sold him automotive film with no residential/commercial warranty?

20% vlt probably dyed film... what is everyone going to think about window film when this stuff turns purple?

We all need to sell film in order to make a living but we also need to preserve the reputation of the industry while doing so. :twocents
