Professional advice for someone wanting to get their car tinted

So I cancelled my appointment at the place I've always used to give me time to decide. He removes the top of the door panel to get the seal out whereas the other place said they only remove them if they have a finger that they can't get out. Should I just bite the bullet and let my normal place do it and mention to be very careful about not scratching my new Audi? Or should I give the other place a shot?

Never pulled a panel to install and considered one of two best in the area. The other guy never pulled panels either. Also, never top loaded roll downs until the late 90's, always bottom fed. But hey, old school was the easy way because there were fewer DMC's to top and no internet.   :spit

Gees, just get the job done... life's too short to fret over a colored piece of plastic.

Maybe I should just bite the bullet and let my original tint guy do it and stress that I won't want to see any scratches afterward. His Solar Gard tint is rated at 35% and the VLT is actually 39% so it's a little lighter than I'd like. The next step down is 20% with a VLT of 22%. Pretty sure that would get me in trouble lol.

Dude if someone is actually scratching your vehicle every single time don't go there. Sounds like you've had some pretty chitty experiences. Find a place that has tons of good reviews find out the quality of film they use. Look into getting ceramic and call it a day.
