PPF edge won't stay down!

How can I get this trouble area to stay adhered?  I can work it /press it down smooth, yet is lifts back up to this (see photo).  Will a stronger mix of alcohol/water do it? Or some add adhesive?  It is the

only 1"-2" section on an entire hood that is otherwise perfect....don't want to do over again....it is on my car.

Adding more alcohol to your tack solution will NOT increase the stick of the adhesive.  Looks like you already have it too hot by the distortion in the film to the left, that looks far from perfect.  Products like ProBond  should only be used where the film isn't going to show like under the hood or inside tow hooks.

I would agree that it isn't salvageable at this point without lifting up a substantial amount of film to redistribute the excess material.  If you have to force it down, it's only a matter of time before it comes back up.

That is never going to stay down. You say it's your hood, if it is purely for protection and you can put up with it leave as is, if it's for showing customers it's a redo and as been mentioned already the part to the extreme left looks rough as well.

      South facing windows DR film

      Install went great. I went with NV-25, I am very happy. The room has been darkened significantly, from bright and hot to much more pleasant and enjoyable. Watching TV during the day is no longer blinding, when it is cloudy it is definitely a bit gloomy, I am glad I did not go with NV-15. I plan on getting more windows done in the future to help cut down on heat energy. Thanks for everyone's input!

      Stratos 70 on windshield, what is this?

      Captain Obvious has two cents err senses to share: 1) The film should be removed and replaced, because it appears to have adhesive blemishes that shouldn't be there, and 2) The film should be reviewed/inspected once taken from the roll to avoid losing time and resources due to manufacturing issues. Little pieces not so much, but back glass and windscreen pieces ... definitely.

      I switched so long ago... first to KDS but they went away. NT are great though. I use a piece of white strapping material as a cutting buffer between the blade and glass. Some use a button but I didn't like the feel..

      Stratos 70 on windshield, what is this?

      I can't win with getting tint decent on the windshield. I had 3M on my F150 done twice and still has major defects. Recently did Stratos twice on my F350 and I see this granular spotted, texture pattern on the tint. It's super obvious in the corner here but also right in my view when driving. It's honestly hard to point out and show someone but when your driving and stuff is moving behind the windshield, it becomes more obvious. The lighting also matters. The first time I did the windshield, I had a two foot line on the windshield. Thinking it was tint, they removed the tint and it was apparently a defect in the Ford windshield. An issue between the laminated glass layers caused this big defect. So they removed the tint, I had Ford replace the windshield on a 2024 F350 but when the tint shop removed the tint, they made a bunch of micro scratches in the front windshield, probably from scrapping the glue off. I told them but I didn't care since Ford was replacing the windshield anyways. So if basically I'm trying to figure out what this texture stuff is and if I should have them replace or remove it. Replacing it might just have different issues but also afraid they will scratch the windshield.
