Exterior Skylite Installation

How have others safely installed film to the exterior side of skylites like this?  Have at times leaned ladders to rest on the metal horizontal cross beams (not on the glass).  How would you do something like this?

Harness yourself off and place 2x4s across the span, through glass suction cups. .. Fwiw, we install mess solar screens now instead of film, where exterior is the only option.

Mr OSHA would want you to have a anchor point and a maximum drop of less than 2' if I remember correctly. You could use the base of the light itself with a couple eye bolts lagged into the structure. Just make sure you have a pair and a spare of tie offs.

Looks fun,,I would probly lay a ladder to the top(if frame up there)and lay on it and do the windows on each side uppers

The lower ones looks like you could reach them maybe

If ohsa is around you may need something safer looking lol
