Windshield strip that follows the curve?

I know some guys make a tool that allows you to adjust the curve to whatever you want and get a perfect cut.  I know I've seen it on here before, maybe someone else has a link.

Use the upper molding of the windshield for the lower cut, then slide film down what ever inches for the upper cut.

You may have to freehand a couple inches on the sides.

So an I laying the film on the roof? Or am I cutting with w liner against the glass, flipping it afterward? I kinda get the idea just need to clarify is all.

Cutting with the film on the roof. It's hard as hell to get it exact though. New Ford trucks you have to use the bottom molding. Last one I did I laid on there marked it with a sharpie and free hand it. It wasn't perfect but beat the hell out of the other option.

I use my hand or a bone tool and mark the line I want with a sharpie. I then cut it freehand.

I have all but quit doing contour strips though. Had to be a really bad curve if I do.

I freehand the strips that are "like" 3in in the middle and 6in+ at the outside,,most really don't need it anymore

Easier to do it outside

And I tell them don't get to picky/lol

When you lay film on roof, make sure that you have enough overlap on the glass. You want the overlay on the glass to be flat on the glass, not flat on the roof.
