There are a few dealers testing it, one is below with specs.  I spoke to our rep few months ago about it and the main purpose was to get more performance out of the lighter shades 35 and up.  UV is also bumped up to 99.5% versus the standard 99% along with them adding a 70% VLT which will be a huge win since that shade tends to be most popular for windshields.  I would also imagine a punch up in IR to jump on the bandwagon with everyone else.

Really?  Didn't know that since it doesn't state that on their spec sheet.  It states greater than 99% (same as Llumar), but nothing specific.  My displays also state "more than 99%" for Llumar.  I was told Stratos will actually be 99.5% UV.

3M claims all their crystalline series are a 99.9 %, still not enough for me to use it.

Honestly the only time it would be needed is if you have a skin condition caused by UV light because a 99% film might not be enough protection.  We never bring it up when we are talking about Crystalline.

Im getting my car done next week and have the option of going Pinnacle or Stratos.

Stratos is a noticeable improvement on heat rejection but im still not convinced that its worth the extra cost.

Aside from heat rejection, the only other significant difference on paper is in the "glare reduction".

For example, the glare reduction for Pinnacle 35 is 60% while Stratos is 21%, which would SEEM like a HUGE downgrade. Can anyone clarify for me what this "glare reduction" does?

Usually when i think of glare reduction, I just think of how polarized sunglasses reduce glare. I'm not sure what this phrase means in the tint world. Wouldn't it be more desirable to have the highest percentage for glare reduction? Or is there a certain drawback in having a high % glare reduction? (in terms of clarity or reflectiveness for example)

You are looking at wrong numbers...Stratos 35 is 57% and Pinnacle 35 is 56%.  You were looking at Stratos 70.  http://cdn.llumar.com/drupal/formulaonespecsheet.pdf
