I'm gonna have to start charging deposits

Recommended Posts

I personally do not take deposits but I don't get a ton of cancellations either. When I'm on the phone I make sure to tell them I'll put them on the schedule. Also if it's a Facebook friend I set an event reminder, if it's a phone number I set a text message to be sent the night before reminding them. I still get a cancellation from time to time but they are getting less and less.

I give the customer the benefit of the doubt for the first time. We all have had to cancel things because something comes up right? But when they book the second time, I explain the need for a 50% non-refundable down payment to hold their appointment. People tend to understand and don't miss their seccond appointment.... :eyebrows
