CDA Application -SolarGard

We are having difficulties applying CDA (Clear Dry Adhesive) film by SolarGard.

What slip ratio would you recommend? Best method ad hearing to flat glass.

Please help! Thank you

I assume you're having curling issues? Call your rep and ask them for the anti curl slip they have.

If it's curling, you are using far too much slip in your mix.

 

Or you are trying to apply the film to extremely hot glass

It's a known issue with that film. You can also request a ps adhesive for that film. Is it the truview?

this issue has been going on for a while. over a year. panaroma line. SG just gives out bandaids to fix the issue  even the cda solution didnt work

I've hung a lot of panorama and solar Gard films. Love how thick and how easy to work with it they are but I ran into some terrible curling with a roll of slate 10 last year. Film on definitely helps but still ridiculous to have to deal with. Another film I love is llumar dr.. such a good looking film but I have never ever had as many problems with curling as I did with that film. I haven't used it in years because it was such a pain to install if the glass has any sun on it. If manufacturers can make rolls that don't curl there is no excuse to have to deal with rolls that have problems. As much as I dont like PS adhesives there is definitely an advantage in that regard.

yeah we are certified panorama dealers now of SolarGard. we are using Slate 20% just got done tinting 70 windows in two days. We got the sip solution perfect and over the past 24hrs nothing has peeled up or anything. In the past we only used PSA but i believe we got the hang of this stuff!
