just curious

I used to just slice the film like in the left hand part of the picture, now I snoot off the corners at a angle like the right hand side, film lays down nice and never creases at the corners.

when you put your film up on flatglass you typically want it a couple inches bigger than the glass itself so you can cut it to fit, the corners pose the biggest problem because the film tends to crinkle up there because of the excess, if you slit the film at a angle the tint will "fold" so when you cut it it wont crease up on you, I preferr to cut the film diagonally at the corners this gets rid of the excess and the film lays right down..........does that make sence? basicly I cut a chunk out of it in the corners :shoot2
