If your looking at it from a mathematical perspective the 57% Film is 14% better.

Now with that in mind what is the math to get that #?

How does it roll off your tongue when explaining it to someone?

Do you use "percentage points"?

The math is as such:

57-50=7 the difference is then divided by the base number 50
7/50=.14
.14=14%

The lower number is always the base for figuring out the percentage difference between two numbers.

Just like if today you sold $50 dollars in Window Film and tomorrow you sold $100 in film. Tomorrow you had a 100% increase in sales.

The reason for this thread is when I'm selling film they see a 50 and 57 and think......$100 more for 7% more heat rejection?

Then I tell them that's not how you compare percentages.

"Blank face" huh?

We tried selling based on numbers back when we had Huper and usually got a confused look.  It is just too much information for someone to process is such a little time.  Let's just say upsell's were extremely hard because of our approach.  We dropped it when switching to Llumar and now focus on the pros/cons of each film along with the heat lamp.  Our #1 selling film is CTX...it has been over 50% of our sales in the past year and 58% this quarter.  Everyone has their own their own approach, this just works best for us.
