Pricing Structure

The hard number to come up with a price for is removal. I would be willing to discount it when paying for a reinstall but I want to have something hard in writing even if they aren't asking for new tint.

NEVER NEVER I SAY NEVER discount removal...you can discount new film but not removal...

I wouldn't give them a break down of it, I would just quote them total price.

Say a front only install is $100 and front removal is $45, I would tell them $45 for removal or $125 if they are getting new tint.

At least, that was my thought process so far....

I typically break it down to $30 a window which makes a 4 door sedan without the windshield $150 for dyed film. It’s $60 per window for ceramic which is $300 for the same 4 door sedan minus windshield. Windshield adds an additional $50 and $75 respectively. I only use dyed and ceramic. Both are lifetime films. I give customers  a price break for ceramic to encourage the upsell even though my profit margin is less using the ceramic over dyed. I make up the profit difference using the dyed film since about 75% choose dyed. I have the best price around on ceramic as most others charge $350 to $400 for the same vehicle. I charge an even $100 on coupes for dyed film and $200 for ceramic. It is justified by the fact most coupe side windows are slightly larger than most sedan side windows. People don’t usually question the extra $10 over my basic $30 per window but if they do that’s my reasoning to them. Same with ceramic. It’s $200 justified by the larger windows and inherent higher cost of ceramic. A windshield brow is $25. I don’t use ceramic for brows but if a customer insists I charge $50.

I do something similar to you but i count the back glass as 2 windows (it's twice the film, and more laborious), so using your prices the 4 door sedan would be $180 instead of $150. I offer some people the opportunity to do partial installs. Like one day just the sides then come back for the rear when they have more money.
