Light mist of water or flush the window?

It really depends on the window, I prefer to hose it down! But certain things like some 1/4 glasses or a door that opens completely over your head. The water could bring trash into your install. On some of those, I don’t even wet the glass before install, only the film.

Shady flushes the 2nd stage of the install right before tucking, i mist when cleaning but flush the whole glass down like a mega rinse.

Just before the install i flush the edges and light mist the rear of the window.

I’ve squeegee edges and flushed for periods of time.  For me, flushing is best.  Its extra assurance that the edges are clean.  I hated it when i only squeegeed edges, just to have a batch of specks that could of easily been flushed away.

older cars I blast the gaskets to remove the trash,  new cars require less cleaning typically.  as a top loader, old cars are more prone to dirt trails on the flipline from water and debris running back in.  As a slip I like Ultra-bond straight for fast set and better bond strength.  summer I add a drop of J&J for extra work time in high temp and humidity.
