How can I apply window film on 33”x90” closet mirror by myself?

Recommended Posts

Hello tintdude community. I used to tint windows for autos at a shop but retired from that about 15 years ago since working in IT. Never touched residential tinting so hoping to get some guidance.

I have a 35” x 120” roll of frost window film that I want to apply on my 33x90” mirror by myself. I have a ladder, olfa knife, water bottle, steel wool and squeegee. Direction says to peel off the liner and use water to adjust and apply the film but I’m not sure the best technique or approach since it’s such a large piece of mirror.
My concern is handling the big piece of film while applying and end up creating creases. Should I unpeel the entire liner first or unpeel a section at a time while I spray and apply? Any tips?

This is the product I bought

pretty easy .....go get a  phone and call a local installer and tell him to come do it.......

not being sarcastic .... but it won't be much and it will look nice.....I learned always leave the things I don't feel comfortable with to the people that do it all day

According to the ebay listing. it's Static Window Cling film.

I have never applied that.. does it still need soap & water?  :chin

Are you serious? I'm guessing not.

We know that Klingon is the best though.
