The software is only available to those using XPEL film exclusively.

Understand this, if its not the ppf, it can be tempered glass. Do you know any software to have patterns for screens, climate and interior trim?
XPEL's Design Access Program has patterns for PPF interior kits which include screen coverage. The software also allows you to create custom sized rectangles with radiused corners to create your own screen kits. We have customers preloading this on thousands of cars a year at dealerships.
If you reached out to XPEL, you should hear back from a sales rep soon.

While instant healing is impressive to watch, in terms of function, it doesn’t really make much of a difference if your film heals instantly or a couple minutes later on your drive home. In both instances they are healed before you park your car in the garage.
the most important factor is the long term performance and durability.

You need a rep to come in and explain these things to a dealership. Are you in New Braunfels?

@djgarrett21, those spots will go away. Just keep them out of direct sunlight on hot days and allow them to evaporate at their own speed. Generally they should go away in an hour or so, but that can vary greatly due to the level of moisture, as well as the humidity and temp. Keep in mind that our clear coat is very thick, which is great for durability, but also makes moisture evaporate more slowly.

Do you have email so that I can send you information?
Please stop spamming.

You should expect better and should definitely ask for a refund and have them pay to have the paint cuts fixed. If they refuse, contact SunTek to see if they can help influence the shop to do the right thing. Once that process is done, please let me know if I can help you find a different installer in your area.
-
When working with large surface areas like a full car, some of these issues are bound to happen from time to time. The installer should take care of those issues for you.
-
Hourly rate + 10% of the total ticket. Installer only makes hourly if the car comes back for any redos. This pay plan has incentive for them to work quickly, but also to do quality work. If an installer in knocking out two retail full fronts per day, they are going to bring home about $129k annually and bring you over a million in revenue. Good for both parties.

We (XPEL) have them for the 2021 Jag F-Type R in both the coupe or convertible. Not sure what series yours is though.

I believe it is Suntek based, but is it the same thing as they have had in the past, but with a vehicle vin scanner now as the only real diff?
Norm? Is that you, old friend? Are you still living down near the equator?

I’m having hood, front bumper and front side panels done with XPEL and being charged $2999. This seems like a lot?
I’ve worked for XPEL for 15 years and can verify that this is a typical price from a well-experienced installer. -
The issue pictured is an installation technique issue rather than a film defect.
-
Being that those are installation issues, if you don’t get cooperation from the original installer quickly, you’ll likely end up taking them to small claims court if the manufacturer can’t convince them to act quickly.
Call the shop and manufacturer one more time. I bet they get it taken care of.

I am new here and am desperately looking for advice or recommendations. I just started up my own PPF business. I got certified by Xpel last year and have worked in this industry for many years at the dealership. Now, everything is done, I have the shop, EIN, insurance, etc. I just need customers. I cannot seem to get the dealerships to come around to utilizing PPF. They come up with excuses like it's not in demand or it's too complicated to go through the corporation, etc. Anyone else have this problem at the beginning of your startup? What am I doing wrong? I am slowly starting to think I've made a mistake. I love this work and really want to make something of it.
A lot of it comes down to packages, pricing and talk track. WHere are you locvated? Maybe I can get your rep to assist.

How long should we expect the PPF to last being that different cleaners such as Clorox and windex are being used as cleaning agents? Is it warranted for 10 years still?
RX Protection Film can be cleaned with a wide variety bleach based and non-bleach based cleaners as well as Quaternary Ammonium Germicidal Wipes, from PDI, SafeTec, Steris, Jet and others. i.e., alcohol wipes, bleach wipes, germicidal wipes. Avoid hydrogen peroxide.
Warranty details can be found here, as it differs for commercial and non-commercial use:

Hi Michelle, the things that you are speaking of usually are related to install solution mixtures and timing.
what are you using for your install mixtures?

Yes I believe there is a strong market for this type of surface protection, its still early on but it will come up. This is what my business is tackling, especially with all the new home construction in my side of FL. In regards to the film that you have used, how long in duration will the film last after application?
Thanks
It all depends on the application. If you install it on a residential marble kitchen counter top it'll last longer than if it was installed on a commercial bar top where there may be wine spilled on it every day and never cleaned off.
-
XPEL Design Access Program has that functionality. You can extend the most commonly wrapped edges with a couple of mouse clicks or ANY edge with a little more effort.
-
Absolutely. There's an existing market for this. We've actually got an antimicrobial film that we primarily use in this application being that it is usually near food prep areas.
