There a bit like HZ kingswood sedan but worse, you need to shrink the top only and then try to stretch the bottom as your squeegee, a little bit of heat helps .

Thank god the glass is out of the car.

I have never done one but have only ever seen one done while the glass is fitted in the car and then it was done in two pieces and didnt look good because of the join.

I have just purchased a Summa S2 T160 with the tangential cutting head.

I have using a DGI for the last 6 years.

I having problems dialing this Summa in to cut auto film.

It either cuts all the way though or not enough on the one pattern

Just seeing if there is anyone else using this plotter for auto film and what set up are you using?, blades? what angle? and cutting strip?, the self healing one or have you changed to a harder one?.

Just been having trouble with cutting 4mil in a 36inch roll.

The film wants to walk or not stay in line and will come out from the pinch rollers.

Have also been cutting a 60inch roll with no problems.

Would it be not enough pinch roller pressure?

I would normally just hand cut it but I have a big job with all panels have handle cut outs in them.

I'm guessing it might be similar to shrinking crystalline, do a youtube search on shrinking crystalline.

Chinese film is very good lasts upto about 2 years. ✌️

You can adjust the patterns to suit your self, this can take some time to get it just right.

I use a Sharpie marker then cut the film on the peel board, take's a couple extra minutes but you will never have to replace the glass from cutting marks.

Work for yourself and every job is 100%

Is it Suntek carbon 38 ?

Just make your own patterns

Suntek by any chance?

Vinegar is acidic, you might want to test it first before using on a customers car.

 🙄 💩 Shitouette, I mean silhouette, it may shrink well but only sort of lasts 2 to 3 years before going purple, it turns purple just sitting in the box.

Hi Folks,

Im just interested in what blades people are using to cut SolarGard Vortex.

Im having trouble with not cutting enough and then cutting right though the backing sheet, very random cuts, also seams to be breaking tips off.

I have sort of given up tryng to cut Vortex with the plotter but I have a job coming that I will need to cut a lot of the same shape windows.

Have been using CleanCut blades.

Any help will be very much appreciated

Yep, sunstrips, not much film involved but they suck up the time.

Did you take the backing sheet off? 

The ATR solution is magic stuff, but hard to get in Australia, the only place I found that sell it are a bunch of pork chops.
