I wear the nitrile gloves when stripping back windows, or when working around the hot old butyl seals just so my hands don't get all sticky. I think any dirt on your finger tips wouldn't be as tactile, and wearing gloves would increase the risk of contamination.

Works just the opposite, actually. The green glass filters out the rest(not totally) of the spectrum and transmits green. Perhaps a 35% green glass would actually meter a bit higher as the green isn't being filtered out.

Limited quantity I hear. Anyone do one yet? They're incredibly easy, and a hatchback. I had no pattern, so had to give it a hand job.

Mostly automated isn't it? The piece of glass must have ended up in the wrong stack somehow, and the robot doesn't differentiate; it just reads the bar code. Shouldn't have passed quality assurance, though. Or did someone custom order it? then cancel, and the car was put back in to regular stock.

Scratches easily? Out of Canada? Would think, considering the winters here, the film would be a little tougher. Wonder how it handles ice scrapers.

I've trained half a dozen people. We machine cut. I teach them running the plotter first, as it's main reason we hire them, but if they're serious about learning then we go to installation.
After watching me install for a while I usually start them off doing small, no tuck, windows, so they have a grasp of handling film and dealing with squeegeeing a piece that slides around everywhere. Ask them to identify what they've done wrong, and ask them how to avoid doing that again. I can always tell what they did wrong, so I just tell them if they can't figure it out. Then we move on to squeegeeing film I've placed and tacked, so they get used to the hand motions and so I have a good installation(unless they crease it).
Really depends how busy we are. Teaching them to help me is first thing, then installation when it slows down. Have them work on one window once they learn the basics. Most of the time, with a fresh installer, I will have the entire vehicle finished by the time they get that 1 window done. They usually put a lot of pressure on themselves in that situation, so they will drive themselves harder. Nothing feels worse to them then when I've tinted an entire car and they haven't finished 1 window. I just smile and say to them it's part of learning. You aren't going to learn this in a day. You may understand installing, but you will need to train your muscles, hands, eyes. Takes time.

This isn't the same situation, but we've recently had a company, and former customer, start trying to pull our customers out from under us.
They charge the exact same as us, and, I swear, will call us to find out prices on the odd jobs they don't know how to price. We found out what film they use, and now offer that film below our/their cost. Then of course we offer the usual LLumar ATC, CTX, PP, AIR. Still have yet to have a customer choose the Courage film. Haven't lost any of our 16 dealerships either, but we're all friends I guess. Just dropped them all off some nice Christmas baskets full of goodies.

It depends on the glass and angles. Some windshields are 80, 70% factory, they're all laminated, and the angle you view them is never direct, like the side windows, so you will see more reflections which obscure the view through the windshield.

I ordered some from Interwest Tools also. And while I think it does a great job protecting the film from scratching it sometimes prevents me from quick and easy finessing. I don't use it much anymore, I just throw out my tools more often.
It's true. The teflon tape softens every edge of the card, and makes it impossible to set creases, hide specks. I usually have 2 cards. 1 with teflon, and an extra one without the tape to jam under my cuticle, or finger nail when I reach in to my pockets. Oh and to use on creases.
