You definitely should not be using a needle to pop water bubbles, this will only create a permanent defect that will most likely haunt you and the customer down the road.

Nice! I saw some posts about this an thinking about trying it on my car. I've been playing w/ the dynoshield that Michael sent a little while back.

Recently at STEK USA we introduced DYNOshades, a line of Paint Protection Film designed to protect automotive lights and enhance their aesthetics. our industrial division makes a 14 mil window film that is air channeled adhesive similar to vinyl. This film is mostly used for the wind turbine blade protection, but we have quite a few people using it for high impact areas in the off road industry on light bar lenses, door sills, rockers...

And i do mean top to bottom literally as the bottom carbon fiber panels were covered in one our industrial films. The rest of the car was custom patterned in our DYNOshield PPF as well as our DYNOmatte PPF on the carbon fiber rockers and door sills.

DYNOcarbon does have a slight texture so you can feel the pattern. For installers it will be a little weird feeling the texture but it installs just as easy as our entire line of DYNO films. we look forward to getting feedback from the few dozen select installers we sent samples too.

the DYNOcarbon is a TPU matte film but i want to really say its a semi gloss as it does have a bit more sheen and gloss to it then our DYNOmatte film. The 3M film you are speaking about is a great vinyl film but is not a true PPF.
