Anyone local to Salisbury pa, 15558. Let’s make a deal on this as a whole! Plotter is a vinyl express Q-42, comes with media basket. It’s 9.5 months old, Teflon strip and blade was replaced 2 weeks ago. Comes with extra blades and a new back up Teflon strip. All factory paper work included.
Tint keg is 5 gallons, dual sprayer set up with brass nozzles and swivels. Used for only a couple months, no leaks.

I use the pink clean (softest squeegee available) and never had any issues with it...

The redline squeegee beveled version has a thicker bevel than any of the other fusion blades to begin with which does help. I’d say it’s maybe 1/8”-3/16” thicker, I’ve compared brand new orange crushes to a new redline.

Yes sir, 44 tools has them

I have both generations of the blue max and the first gen is harder than the second. With that being said the redline is stiffer than both gens of the bluemax. The blue maxes are inconsistent and that’s my biggest complaint with them. It removes a considerably larger amount of moisture then the bluemax for sure. I used to use the blue max before switching to the redline. I use the 1/4 cropped version as well. Order one and give it a shot, you won’t be disappointed I can assure you.

Best damn squeegee blade for auto hands down. Love mine. They glide across the film and remove ridiculous amounts of water as well. Take your current squeegee and do an initial pass then follow up with the redline and see for yourself! I used to use a little softer squeegee for rear windows but have the redline a shot for the last few I have done and it’s awesome!!

Film vinyl designs, tried Tint Tek and suntek TruCut’s and film vinyl designs have them beat by far.

5% is black, 15% is my favorite! It has a slight dark gray hue to it but it’s by far the best looking film I have ever seen! 20% has a very very slight gray/brown kinda hue. Nothing dramatic but I’ve found it matches a lot better to factory tinted glass than any previous films I’ve used in the past.

I love tint slime. Switched to slime after starting with baby shampoo, then switched to fusion which didn’t offer enough slip no matter how little or more I added. Slime was my last resort and I fell in love. Everyone has their preference and reasoning for other options which I respect but I no longer have to deal with the gunk build up like shampoo. Slime seems to work better than anything else for the back windows as well. Knock on wood but no more fighting peanuts and random fingers either. I did switch to global QDP as soon as o switched to tint slime as well so maybe those problems weren’t resolved by only switching to slime. I like to believe it does play a role though!

Leave it and let it dry. Turns out great!!

QDP (quick dry plus) is definitely top notch stuff! Switched completely over to global now.!
-
Grind that ring off? Fusion now offers the shorty handles with and without that if I recall.

Global QDP. Switched from suntek carbon and love the global so much better!!!

All is good, I haven’t had a chance to tint one of these back windows, this truck just came for matching fronts so I peeked at the rest. When I do get to do one, I’m going to do my best to bump it up far as I can and see what it looks like. At least there is a dot matrix there but still that may make things better or worse! I will try to see if that plastic piece can be moved at all to tuck but it sure didn’t feel or look like it would when I checked it out the first time.

I started with blue max, went to the orange crush, then tried the hybrid, now I only use the orange crush. First pass antske it light then I do a second and apply more pressure. I love it.

Orange crush! I’ve tried the blue max when I started, didn’t like it. Then it tried the fusion hybrid and it was pretty good but I like the cropped style, so I stuck with the orange crush and I love it. Removes all the moisture I need it to just by pressing a tad harder with it on my second passes.

SOS pads for rear windows/defrosters. They would work just as well for any window that has a greasy film. A blue scotch pad would work as well I’m sure.
-
I use fusion all type slip solution and usually just wipe the windows once I make the final pass. Sometimes I may need to mist it first but it works. Beats the bell out of buying a bunch of cans of cleaner as well.

Do you lay tint with the door shut because you're mobile? Do you have any vids of your install? Not a lot of vids of people tinting mobile out there, i'm always curious the secrets of being mobile and doing clean installs. Major gnat problem here.
Sorry for the confusion haha, when I said I lay the tint with the doors closed I meant my garage doors, not the vehicles. Haha sorry once again for the confusion, I actually never thought about doing it that way though if I was mobile but it’s a good idea in theory.

How much fusion per gallon or quart bro? How do you mix it??
I have had good luck with 1oz. Fusion to a gallon of distilled water. Just measure it out, dump it in and shake it up good. I then use that gallon jug all day for my spray bottles.
Film comparable to Suntek Carbon
in Window Tinting - General Discussion

I started off using suntek carbon and switched to global QDP. I liked the carbon, except the scratch coat but my tools always got sanded so I rarely ever had problems. I had more problems in my opinion with the QDP due to it being a tad thicker film it was easier to get a crease or zipper crease if it was handled in the wrong manner, even more so when doing a rear window. everything else I absolutely loved about it! I got out of tinting for a year but im getting to it with a new shop that's currently being built and im shooting to get back with suntek because my distributer was very very helpful and I liked the fast shipping. anyways im looking to add a tad cheaper line for the low ballers and those who refuse to pay any more for more expensive film and was thinking about using the standard PRO. does anyone have experience using it?
