Anybody got a few tips on large windows? Clear UV

I have just priced up a job with 26 windows all at about 3.5 metres high by 4.5 wide

I think in feet thats about 11 feet high by 14 feet wide.

All south facing, I am almost hoping not to get the job, blood sweat and tears springs to mind :rollin

I have not tried back rolling, maybe this would be the best option?

Clear UV... as in a thin film or safety film?

Safety won't be bad at all, but... thin 1 0r 2 mil clear is going to be a biatch to back rolling. PS adhesive cannot be dropped, it can only be back rolled manually.

It can certainly be done, but I believe it'll be akin to unrolling egg shells... especially toward the last meter and a half. :rollin

Let me say to you that if you are considering a clear UV film then I wouldn't especially for your south facing glass in a climate Spain has to offer.

I know that I have used Mad's and it's PS but I wouldn't :p1ss on it if it was on fire nor any other similar offering.

You would need to have a spectrally selective film at the very least with one of those new 70% VLT jobs now out.

Check out Bek's new HiLite 70 just released or the traditional VKool.

check with your distributor as well, get him to recommend one, and give u written approval.

The job is a furniture shop, laminated glass, thats why I recomended clear UV, I would not want to run the risk of thermal cracking on windows that size, as in winter months here the sun can be really low all day long every day. 2 mil window film not safety.
