do you know them VCLIMBER..dont you us this film...and if you do...would you want to know ?

where is mr. huperopikusa when the need an answer about his film?

I do and I would, I am probably one of the most cautious and paranoid thermal break-headed F2G chart using skitzo on this board, ask Blade. :beer

However we did a test market for ourselves years ago and found that whatever the absorbance is, the incidence of breakage is no greater than the traditional films that we have been using. Add to that a no-hassle warranty and it works for us. So would I like to know what the SA is? Yes. If it was as high as posted, would I stop using the film? :lol6

Total Solar Transmittance 35%

Total Solar Reflectance 19%

Total Solar Absorptance 46%

These are the specs of the particular film I am looking at in a swatch book. It is a 35% architectural film. If you add up all 3 of those percentages you get 100. I used the wrong acronyms earlier sorry.

Solar absorption =1.00 - (solar transmittance) - (solar reflectance)

same place as ir rejection

how 'bout RF rejection :smoker

I could just wrap my head in foill

so they can't scan my brainwaves

How about Vector X cut ceramic helmet? :beer

1412 VIEWS.. thats sayin something.

Where is Mr. HuperOptikUSA?

I got :lol

We are still trying to figure out what the absorption rates are on Huper Optik Ceramic Series. :spit

Most importantly Absorption on Ceramic - 30.

But also on 40, 50, & 60.

:lol Are you tryna rock the boat or what? Solar Absorption is very important. One of the leading causes of Glass Breakage is Thermal Stress caused by absorption of solar radiation(Heat). :lol

Very High Absorption Rates are NO GOOD. Ask any pro-tinter.

You are right as far as "your customer's do not care what the number is", thats because most people don't have the slightest idea to what these numbers represent. Only a hand full of consumers search for sites like TintDude.com in order to get advice on good quality films and attempt to find a deal.

Don't even get into the Warranty stuff, its all a marketing ploy that does more damage to the industry than anything else. Some tints may last longer than others. But NOTHING is going to last a lifetime. :lol too

And :spit dont "make some up"

Have a good one :lol
