As for the IRs 70 can it really be dual pane safe with an absorption of 54%????

If the glass is good and there are no major external issues, it should be fine. Will Geo warranty it on IG? That would be your concern. :evilgrin

I emailed them on this already, just waiting a response.

Yes, they warranty it on low-e.

They warranty the Geo 30% also!

I hear last year they had zero glass breakage as a result of thermal shock related to the film (ie, glass broke, but it wasn't the films fault, stuff like hidden shells).

On the IRis 70, have you guys notice a bit of hazy look to it? :eyebrows or is it just me?

That's common with these types of films.

Yeah inherent trait... it can be either the IR absorbing dye, the poly doing that.

I wouldn't go so far as to calling it a "haze", but rather the window "glows".

Hard for me to explain how I perceive it.

Vista has an IR film V-75 IR and to my knowledge it is using IR dye. It glows alright! :eyebrows So much so that we have stripped off just about every sq ft we've every installed. Most customers describe the effect as "haze."
