nexfill and wintech and soltek films are all about the same they come from korea I been buying soltek 10 years now

no big deal just dont pay high prices and when wintech contacted me there prices are cheap too. I asked if they were part of soltek since they told me made in korea they said maybe could be . have sample here of wintech they sent house film to me but not enough to be able to use on any job .

I had a call back in june from a company name x sun window films in miami that say they buy raw material from llumar and manufacture there films in new york . who ever called me from the company told me that they would send me a sample roll and other info on there products . to this day never sent me crap . but I called on july 1st and they said that they would place another order for sample roll still never got anything . I called there thrusday july 8th the lady that anwsered the phone was karina told me that it would be here on friday. what blew my mind after tallking with them on thursday later that day they emailed me a tracking number for ups and ever since that email 3 pm thurdays ups says it doesnt reconize the number check you shipping for info call your shipper . I called friday and the one who anwsered the phone was kind enought to tell me they have the ability to know what tracking number they are going to use before they package the sample and send it. she said it was sorta like a email with a pre tracking number so I could use once they shipped my sampel of film .I was told they emailed me back to say its been shipped only then the tracking number I had in the 1st email would work . she didnt want to talk to me anymore so she passed me off to another person that didnt want to talk so passed to someone else .this time I got this guy that asked me what was the problem and told him. what he told me was this. x sun films won't be sending any samples anytime soon cause they are not able to process any film for samples machines are backed up that are doing the cutting for samples film and they cant catch up with the orders they have from paying customers. he proceeds to starts to bitching at me about haven to work long hours. like this we get here at 8 am and dont stop send out fedx until 9pm . what I boils down to is that I didnt buy nothing so I get to be treated like crap from them.

I told him that I have been trying to get a sample of your film since june 24th when the company called me to ask me if I want some info and sample and since your on the other side of florida they told me next day I would get it ..

they sent email with prices but other than that there customer services skill suck......

well I guess they are to busy to have new accounts that could make thousands of dollars a month

first, that was really tough to read.

Second, its summer tint season and you got enough time to sit around and try to get free film from a hack distributor?

You spent a lot of time trying to wrangle up a handout and ended up arguing with someone. Kinda like going to the grocery store and fighting with the free sample worker after they run out of bites of generic rice crispy treats.

That's just terrible. I got a headache just reading that run around.

Procedure for getting a sample roll of Express Film:

#1: Fill out Sample Roll Request Form (required so we know what to send you).

#2: Receive Sample Roll.

      Automotive Tint Comparison

      LLumar, 3M and Solargard have in the industry as far back as the genesis of window film mid-1960's). Solargard is the younger of the three and all others came to play in the last 20 or so years. I've had all three on my vehicles over the years and my current is 3M Crystalline on my Jeep since 2015. It still has stable color, scratch coat is holding strong and impeccable adhesive clarity. Never been garaged. My choice toady would be 3M or LLumar.

      Hook up with Glassy Business and get all the ins and outs of pro vs DIY with window film. That company goes back way before my retirement in 2015. I want to believe they are/were a Vista Film dealer and I cannot remember the owner's name. Peace out.

      Once more thank you, you are the best I been looking at the specs for the products you mention and info into tinting a window. I recently did wrap my wife's car and it turn out really nice, for what I have been seeing tinting a window is similar and I am tempted to do it myself. With that said I can't find any place to buy the products you mention, I found quite a few films in Amazon but they seem sketchy. There is other web sites selling films but the ones you mention I can’t locate, anyhow is there any place where I can buy this products?

      Forgot to mention; if your house is under HOA, you may have to check in with them. Some, eh hem, many seemingly shy away from having a reflective look to the glass. A dual reflective with a visible light transmission of 35% (ex: NV35) would likely be more palatable to HOA, but not so happy for the owner. Your position to take with them is: The higher the reflectivity of a film product, the better when dealing with desert heat. There exists a necessary (physics) compromise in every window film transaction. Can't please all parties. Glad I could help educate.

      Thank you very much Tinguy1980, I was just about to mess it up. I appreciate your insight! I would have never guessed that the products I was thinking about "run counterintuitive to the use of the product" for the excessive heat. Frankly it does get so hot in that room that at this point I am less about how it looks and more about performance, during summer the AC never stops running in that room, electricity prices here in Las Vegas is up there hence I am trying to invest in ways to cool that room down. Once more thank you for your help I do appreciate it.

      Personally knowing what it's like in Vegas when it's hot, I would stir clear of any film TSER performance value less than 60% or a solar heat gain value greater than 40%. Prestige does not fit this and would be a big waste of good money. Huper Optiks' ceramic products have high solar energy absorption rates, so in hot environments these kind high absorptive films run counterintuitive to the use of the product while using air conditioning to cooling the interior. High absorption on the inside pane, where most films are applied will radiate that absorbed heat toward the room. Outside breezes across the exterior surface of the window will not be as effective in cooling down the interior than say a low absorptive film, high solar reflection film product. In this case, low absorptive/high solar reflection products should be a go-to such as: 3M's Night Vision15 or NV25, Vista Film's Dual Reflective18 or DR 28, LLumar's DR15 or DR25 (which closely matches 3M NV), or Madico's Optivision in and around the same number assignment. The numbers assigned to films represent the visible light transmission of the product. When a dealer comes out to assess and likely have and leave samples, use the samples as sunglasses by wrapping over your eyes a viewing out and in the room. This gives you a more precise idea of what the film will look like once applied. A small sample placed on the glass will always appear darker than having the entire panel tinted. Good luck.
