doesnt pulling it tight from one side to the other create a virtual anchor across the middle anyway?

That's just it :lol6 when pulled and lined up right, all fingers equally proportioned on op and bottom, should be "fingerless" where the "H" normally would be yet because there's no moisture in the centre , there's to mixing of moisture and powder there or if a soap user, it gives you that little bit extra space for dry shrinking if needed for extra curvy bg.

There is another nice benefit to this, but I'll have to make a video to show you :lol2

Not quite, there is one more benefit, shrinking multi bg windows for dealers ifcyou use a plotter. Soap one window, tack, shrink, roll, keep the same soap down for as many bg windows as you have cut out , then roll them up for another day. Saves a lot of time for those dealer accounts where it's many of the same bg windows. No center to keep soaping down, or worse re powdering.
