comparing window film specs

NFRC all day, it's a shame none of us use it on our spec sheets. One day I hope we do.

As I understood it, there are rules that prevent you from displaying the NFRC label on a collateral piece like a 'spec card.' But I guess there is nothing stopping us from reporting 3mm clear with frame instead of center of glass SHGC...

Since they dont really supply NFRC specs, I would just think that the TSER would be a basic way to tell how well a film performs... with the information most manufacturers give you anyways.

The problem is that some report TSER on-angle and others at 90 degrees and some report on 3mm SP and other on 6mm SP and then some use differing methods to come up with their TSER numbers... there is no neutral standard to compare against except NFRC.
