Create a cool Lamp in 5min

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone,

A little trick to create a practical Lamp for working on your rear windows.

You will need a 47in regular fluorescent lamp

An empty roll of 60in film ( in translucent plastic )

An electric cable with its plug

4 screws

Cut one or both of the box roll wedge, depending if you want the Lamp be able to stand verticaly

Cut a 49,6in piece in the plastic tube

Make a 1.4in nick a the bottom

Connect the electric cable to the lamp, and insert all through the tube

Place the cable through the Nick and place a wedge and 2 screw to make it stay in place

Put the other wedge in the way to block the neon strip and fix it with the screw.

Now I need a few white cores and a bigger christmas list.

Pretty up the ends and this would be a very cool lamp for many areas not just for work use!!

Even as is it would be an easy cleanup if it ever fell and the bulb broke!

Yeah, I spied a 6" white core on a roll of PPF the other day while visiting and immediately saw a three-tiered hanging lamp could be fashioned from it.
