Wow a year.. yeah.. I dunno.. Since you do other work... I think I'd just eat the removal. I know it sucks... but gotta look at the big picture. :shrugs:

I would probably not charge for removal given the case. It may suck, but the last thing you want is another company doing the job and ending up with yoir auto work as well.

Tough call for sure, but dealerships will do anything they can to not pay for something. I have an account where I do 36k a year and they wanted me to do there show room for next to nothing. I refused and still isn't done and I am still doing their tinting. Sometimes as difficult as it may seem you must stand your ground

Thanks for the advice everyone. I told them today I felt bad and I'd split the removal with them. The manager seemed more than satisfied with that.

That's reasonable given the circumstance. I can only imagine if u do it for free this time how many times would they ask?

Considering you made a recommendation and they didn't go with it, and now aren't happy... You absorbing half the removal is fair. You're not at fault, they just want a deal because of the volume of other work they give you. I'd be happy with that, at least you can cover some of your time.
