How do you store your film if using a plotter?

Recommended Posts

I am reorganizing my shop space and would like to fine a way to conveniently store my film behind or near my plotter to make for easy switch outs.

It was e ash before I had a plotter because I never had to take it out of the box. But now its just a hassle to put it back on the box after taking it of the plotter. And ideas?

As always pics tell a better story.

Thanks,

I like both of those ideas. The one using the hook is a little easier to execute.

Has any one made any thing that foes behind the plotter and allows them to simple just feed whichever roll they want in to the plotter so you don't actually have to move the roll at all?

Never really liked the plotters.  couple stores i went to had them.  I can cut a car quiker then the plotter can.  plotters also dont take into acount the differences between cars.  I did two doors on a fiero today.  gaskets and door panelslwere different on each side.  had to compensate.

I don't like to leave my rolls of film uncovered over night. Even though we try to minimize dust in our work area, inevitably there will still be some.

So I worry about the accumulation of dust transferring to my film when I pull the liner.
