Roll widths

Recommended Posts

As a film supplier, we do not sell a 30" roll of film and I can't think of anytime anyone has ever had a 60" roll cut to a 30"/30". We stock all films in 20", 24", 36", 40", 60" and some 72". Even when someone orders a 60" and have it split it is still most commonly slit 24"/36" or 20"/40". We have seen a rise in recent years of 60" rolls being slit 22"/38" and one customer that has his films slit 18"/19"/23". Hope that helps some.

20"  --  24"  --  36"   with an occasional 40" for certain windshields and backglasses

I just don't see the need in a 30" roll unless it's strictly for backglasses.

I split my 36" into 18"x18" to do almost all car doors.  20" roll for trucks-- 24" for bigger trucks.  36" covers almost all but a few backglasses :twocents

When we hand cut everything we did 20" 36" 24" for truck sides, and a 40" on hand that lasted a long time for that once in a while big back glass.

Now we use a plotter so we never buy 20" any more.
