I've applied film on film for thirty plus years without many problems. Never a warranty and try to stay away from roll up windows. Your job and product is only as good as the first layer.

This is the reason I use not to do it. Sure it will stick, but if I didn't do the first layer I'm not doing a second in most cases. I will almost give them a removal to keep from doing it.

I did this for a sunvisor over a windshield.  But that's it.  Gonna prob try to avoid rollups at all cost.  Just have to quote a removal for the first layer.

80% of my work is "darker than legal, so if they really want it darker, I'd prefer to take it off and do what's requested. I'll give them a break on the removal to do it right.

I know flames & designs aren't as drastic but used to be big back in the day & never heard of problems

You should be fine. I double layer all my friends and family cars.havent had any issues 5 plus years with
