I always give people a horror story. "It's dangerous" or "I almost hit a kid one night". Steers I would say 50% away. We have the same thing with the police having their personal vehicles tinted with illegal tints.

Just got a text for a quote from a customer wanting current winshield tint replaced with darker. I tell them I only do 70% for safety reasons. Customer said, I have a medical excemption...I can put any darkness of tint on any window i want. I hate these requests...theres no need to have privacy in the front.

And that's probably a lie. The exemptions I've seen have been for 20% and 70%. Dr's aren't stupid.

Ask what the medical condition is. If it's bright light, then dark. If it's UV sensitivity, then legal will do.

Most customers with a legit reason to have a medical letter is for uv and don't know we can fix um up and be legal

Medical exemptions in Florida do not specify any %. They just make you exempt from the Florida statutes concerning window tint. Technically, they can have any window of the vehicle as dark as they want it.
