Starting a business and having issues with llumar

So I'm starting my business up and I want to use the best product which is llumar (imo) but they won't let me become a dealer because there is another dealer to close to me. Any advice on how to get around this or if anyone else had this issue?

Money talks. If you throw enough cash at them they may change their tune. I can understand personal preference as far as installation but as far as performance there are other comparable films. There are many quality films available and frankly besides 3M the average customer has no clue of the other manufacturers as sad as that is to say.

There are other quality options. If they won't go with you, use another, once you've established yourself and have a record of film purchases and have something tangible to offer them, call. Or offer a large initial order :lol A lot of quality companies won't just sell to every single start up, especially if they have a larger established customer right near by.

 

Personally, with my market, I don't really care who uses what. People come here because they want to deal with me. That being said, it would irk me a bit if they started selling to some butcher across the street who's just cleaving out cars and plastering their brand banners all over while leaving bad tastes in people's mouths.  :twocents

You cant just "stop" everything because you cant buy from "X" company :facepalm2

 

Build your business with good work, good service (treating people right) and the rest will take care of itself. Use a company that will appreciate you buying from them and not feel like they are doing you a feel favor, its the other way around!

      South facing windows DR film

      Install went great. I went with NV-25, I am very happy. The room has been darkened significantly, from bright and hot to much more pleasant and enjoyable. Watching TV during the day is no longer blinding, when it is cloudy it is definitely a bit gloomy, I am glad I did not go with NV-15. I plan on getting more windows done in the future to help cut down on heat energy. Thanks for everyone's input!

      Stratos 70 on windshield, what is this?

      Captain Obvious has two cents err senses to share: 1) The film should be removed and replaced, because it appears to have adhesive blemishes that shouldn't be there, and 2) The film should be reviewed/inspected once taken from the roll to avoid losing time and resources due to manufacturing issues. Little pieces not so much, but back glass and windscreen pieces ... definitely.

      I switched so long ago... first to KDS but they went away. NT are great though. I use a piece of white strapping material as a cutting buffer between the blade and glass. Some use a button but I didn't like the feel..

      Headlight Taillight Vinyl question... (Looking for CHROME)

      Stratos 70 on windshield, what is this?

      I can't win with getting tint decent on the windshield. I had 3M on my F150 done twice and still has major defects. Recently did Stratos twice on my F350 and I see this granular spotted, texture pattern on the tint. It's super obvious in the corner here but also right in my view when driving. It's honestly hard to point out and show someone but when your driving and stuff is moving behind the windshield, it becomes more obvious. The lighting also matters. The first time I did the windshield, I had a two foot line on the windshield. Thinking it was tint, they removed the tint and it was apparently a defect in the Ford windshield. An issue between the laminated glass layers caused this big defect. So they removed the tint, I had Ford replace the windshield on a 2024 F350 but when the tint shop removed the tint, they made a bunch of micro scratches in the front windshield, probably from scrapping the glue off. I told them but I didn't care since Ford was replacing the windshield anyways. So if basically I'm trying to figure out what this texture stuff is and if I should have them replace or remove it. Replacing it might just have different issues but also afraid they will scratch the windshield.
