Storing Offcuts

How does everyone store film offcuts that are kept to cut quarters etc from.

Here's where I store my excess. Not worth the time or headache of keeping up with it imo.

I have a metal framed glass door that I use for keeping extras for making patterns and for storing front strip material.  You can see it on the far right.  When it gets to full I just throw it all away and wait for more to build up.  It always does.

I always keep one or two cut-offs rolled up inside the box with each roll as you can see in the pic.  When the roll is finished, the cut-offs go into the same storage container that @jh812 showed.  I always worry about the dye lot not matching exactly from one roll to the next, so don't bother hanging onto them beyond that.

I save them in marked boxes/starting to be lots of windshields that need a 2 piece window strip and the bigger pieces well once in a while i get a pos old motor home with a bunch of smaller windows and they wont complain if it doesnt match perfectly

 Well you tell the rest of the shop to take it up with me.

Same as @Slick  we keep them rolled up in the current box.  That way we know what film/shade they are along with being able to quickly access it.  If we kept them separate where we would have to sort through them to find, it would not be worth the time.

I only keep 1-2 scraps from bg's for 1/4s. Any scraps big enough for roll-ups i mark them either FR (front rollup) and RR (rear rollup) to know roughly what theyll cover.
