Practice Window Tinting without Garage?

That thunderbird back window can cause some stress indoors or out! I used to tint um new. Bottom corner make small quarter inch cuts in the matrix area . Space them about a inch apart and make them from the corner up and across about 6 inches.  Will keep them from flipping away from the glass. Careful with the squeegee!!

With some sunlight on the glass i did a beratta pretty easy one piece were the lower corners would lift and be a pita@had to squeege fast with a 6in black and white that was a nice new tool back in the 90s which was more difficult than the Tbird but the bird had less room at the bottom edge

 

I pulled the car/beratta outside after i got the tint on the glass to see if that helped

Thank you Stan! I can't wait until I can grab your DVDs. I started on the driver's side window last night by removing the old tint. Surprisingly, it wasn't too difficult for 15 year old tint. :homer

      South facing windows DR film

      Install went great. I went with NV-25, I am very happy. The room has been darkened significantly, from bright and hot to much more pleasant and enjoyable. Watching TV during the day is no longer blinding, when it is cloudy it is definitely a bit gloomy, I am glad I did not go with NV-15. I plan on getting more windows done in the future to help cut down on heat energy. Thanks for everyone's input!

      Stratos 70 on windshield, what is this?

      Captain Obvious has two cents err senses to share: 1) The film should be removed and replaced, because it appears to have adhesive blemishes that shouldn't be there, and 2) The film should be reviewed/inspected once taken from the roll to avoid losing time and resources due to manufacturing issues. Little pieces not so much, but back glass and windscreen pieces ... definitely.

      I switched so long ago... first to KDS but they went away. NT are great though. I use a piece of white strapping material as a cutting buffer between the blade and glass. Some use a button but I didn't like the feel..
