Haven't done it yet. Couple of tools I don't have. Next time I go to the store I'm gonna see if they have a kit or something I can pick up.

 

It might end up being rather easy. Since the phones are identical, I think I could actually just swap out the motherboards and be done. The phone that doesn't work has a bad power button, which is, I believe, on the motherboard itself. Which to replace that you need to know how to do micro soldering and stuff, which is beyond my pay grade. But if I just swap out the mb, I should be good to go.

 

And I'm pretty sure the phones memory and storage is on the motherboard...

 

Just a little nervous about screwing something up and being totally w/o anything. lol

Alright...  I got the old phone taken apart. Went smoothly.

Just went out to get some food... saw some lightning and then coming out of the store heard some thunder. I've only heard that a couple of times during a snow storm. Pretty cool.
