Blinds or curtains are really needed if you have direct sun. Film will get you majority of the time but something more opaque is really needed if direct sun.

I've used the yellow fusion flat out with the fusion handle for years now.

I suggest darker on the upper

Smoother shrinking and you won't fight peanuts because they won't be there. I haven't had any peanuts for so long I forget they are a thing.
I use a torch now on most windows but it's the way that you attack the shrink more than what you use to shrink the film.
If the film looks distorted when you lift it off the glass then it's going to try and pucker up....

Most any film company will have a dual reflective film. Internal reflectance will be about half the external.

I’ve been using global but not happy with them. Who should I go with
What makes you "not happy" with Global?

Just depends if you want a lower cost with a less known brand or pay more for a brand that is more widely known by consumers. Both films come from the same manufacturer. Quality is not an issue either way.
Which is the "known" brand?

It was about the 2015 that stopped me for years of pulling the mirrors on the Ford trucks. I had 2 break in a short about of time...

Hey guys has anyone used Global QDP ? I've been using xpel cs series for a while now but I'm looking to switch films! any insights on this film would be greatly appreciated thank you!!
You can't go wrong with Global. I've seen HP that was 13v years old that looked perfect. No adhseive failure, color change or fade!

Just realized that guy you quoted was a spammer. He had a link in the text to his site. I deleted his post, so your reply might look strange.
Got you...

Film is so not smooth looking when done. I can see that causing issues down the road.
In the end it's what works for you though.

PS can be easier to remove. Dry adhesive typically bonds to the glass more and is a nightmare to remove.

I wouldn't recommend anything but global or llumar myself. There are other names that get good reviews but these are the only 2 I would use myself.

Is it film or flow-on?

Upgrade your windows and doors! Get some glass that's actually efficient.

For privacy and heat I wouldn't go any lighter than a 30 or 25%.

It will make it much harder for them to see you. It will always depend on the lighting.

Black channel squeegee. Any hard squeegee is going to leave behind more in general.
