Made me wonder do I looked up and 0000 steel wool is equivalent to 400 grit sandpaper.... I wouldn't think it was that rough but found a couple places stating this.

Just curious, are you absolutely sure it’s adhesive or is it possible the film separated leaving a thin layer of film?
 
Sometimes happens on older tint. If this is the case then I’ve had luck tinting the back glass, letting it dry, then use a steamer and slowly peel it off. 
 
If it truly is just really stubborn adhesive then this obviously wouldn’t work.

Well actually if you think about it a dodge demon would mean to avoid a demon or dodge it. Whereas a dodge savior or dodge god could be taken as a negative as well as if you're trying to avoid them . Now that's some deep  there
