I think 8 a day for two people is reasonable...depending on what they are tinting. Most days P and I don't tint but 4 completes :uh but we will tint 8 or 9 if they are a combination of 2 drs, 4drs, P/U, D & P only :evilgrin

We are old too :uh

Seriously, I can only do 4 a day, 5 if pressed, never been able to do more. I think I put to much into them, striving for quality and all that..but then again I'm old. :evilgrin

im with you ric...I can do 4-5 a day tops...anything more..I feel like im cheating my clients out of a quality job,,but then again..I take most panels off, and I take out certain cars front window out..which take a little more time..but "I" think it is worth it..

I don't think you're working them too hard. I've done 7 by myself in a 9 hr. day (no lunch), but it was a pain in the arse. 4 is more of my pace.

I have been tinting 20 years full time and the most I have ever done in 1 day myself is 6, but when I am done I go over every window and push out any small fingers,wipe off the soap streeks from the paint,wipe off all the door panels,so many time I see cars that were just tinted and I see small fingers because someone just shoed them out the door as soon as they slapped the tint on :lol2:spit

For the most part I think most tinters are over worked and under paid, thats why you always see people on here wondering why they can't keep good tinters,if your tinter is tinting 4 cars a day every day and he is not takeing home 50K he is under paid and that is based on 4 cars a day 5 days a week at a conservative $159 car and him getting 30 % :spit

      Stratos 70 on windshield, what is this?

      Captain Obvious has two cents err senses to share: 1) The film should be removed and replaced, because it appears to have adhesive blemishes that shouldn't be there, and 2) The film should be reviewed/inspected once taken from the roll to avoid losing time and resources due to manufacturing issues. Little pieces not so much, but back glass and windscreen pieces ... definitely.

      I switched so long ago... first to KDS but they went away. NT are great though. I use a piece of white strapping material as a cutting buffer between the blade and glass. Some use a button but I didn't like the feel..

      Headlight Taillight Vinyl question... (Looking for CHROME)

      Stratos 70 on windshield, what is this?

      I can't win with getting tint decent on the windshield. I had 3M on my F150 done twice and still has major defects. Recently did Stratos twice on my F350 and I see this granular spotted, texture pattern on the tint. It's super obvious in the corner here but also right in my view when driving. It's honestly hard to point out and show someone but when your driving and stuff is moving behind the windshield, it becomes more obvious. The lighting also matters. The first time I did the windshield, I had a two foot line on the windshield. Thinking it was tint, they removed the tint and it was apparently a defect in the Ford windshield. An issue between the laminated glass layers caused this big defect. So they removed the tint, I had Ford replace the windshield on a 2024 F350 but when the tint shop removed the tint, they made a bunch of micro scratches in the front windshield, probably from scrapping the glue off. I told them but I didn't care since Ford was replacing the windshield anyways. So if basically I'm trying to figure out what this texture stuff is and if I should have them replace or remove it. Replacing it might just have different issues but also afraid they will scratch the windshield.

      Need some help

      Never overlook the condition of the floor. Back when I did install, I used to mist the floor between the vehicle and the peel board. This is done between misting the window and walking toward the peel board to mist the pattern liner, peel liner and spray adhesive for install. Tacks any dust for the duration of each pattern install, so repeat each time a pattern is going to be installed.
