I don't pull them. I use a small clamp and just hold the pin in while I tint them. We do all the Infinity dealer cars and never had a problem.

the scions are a real simular reset...had a remote start that we had installed on a tc and ran into a problem real close to this...toyota/scion/lexus has it written in there manuals on how to reset

Not sure what they are using. I have seen a type of clamp in tool catalogs before, its just a u type with rubber on the ends that you stretch open and it clamps on the pin and back side of the door frame. I have always just used the plastic ratcheting clamps. You can get them at harbor freight for cheap.
