Why are dealers telling custy can't tint B/G on 2010 Camaro?

Anyone hear this yet? Third customer from 2 different dealers telling me the sales person told them this. They are telling them that GM says the back glass can break.

havent heard this and weve done quite a few already from local dealers with no problems. is there anything on the camaro forums about this?

Can't find anything. My friend is asking me to do his, I told him I will look in to it for him. I think we are going to do it, back glass look just like any other tempered, defrosted back glass

Nah, lady I tinted the sides for last week said they told her they wouldn't do the back either.

I've seen literally dozens and dozens of tinted Camaros with anything from NR to Nano no issues at all. Tint away, unless there is a TSB by GM its not legit.

I had one of my customers that I did his camaro say that he read in his manual that it says not to use a metal film on the b glass....maybe they read that and got it all mixed up?

There is no TSB about the back glass and its pretty easy car to do. Go on do them up

I've done a few since, no complaints, all metalized films too. One is for a guy in the next suite I talk to daily so I would hear if there was an issue

I have done a few. No issues. Prob just the rear ant issue with metal.
