Tint technique...

Recommended Posts

My frist thread... (cap locks off?)-

How do you cut out an SUV?

We start w/an angle from the last car, then use each angle/straight cut to cut each window as we go around w/a 20" box of film.

Does anyone else do this?

Mid-size SUV comes out w/the last cut being the opposite angle you started with... (Think spatial geometry w/a 'stoner' twist)

Please don't flame us, we just use this technique, double cut doors, single cut quarters & rear window, saves ~10% on film costs...

E.g.- Chev. Trailblazer.

Also we're in a high end market so not too important to shave cost, no extra time involved, just flip box over a couple times.

Mainly for fun... :spit

kats has it- use your SUV quarters as the back glass angle reverses...

always end on a front window angle- next car start backwards...

(a little more effort than doubling a rectangle off front two, using extra piece for sedan quarters)

I had a guy earlier this year work for me who insisted in hand cutting. I was pleasantly surprised he didnt waste a lot of film. In fact, I figured it out per roll what he was using and added it up if I used a plotter, and would have only been able to get 1-2 side windows more with the plotter. That quite good.
