I've lowered the window to where the cut is and it looks like it was the tinter.

Thanks again. It looks like I will have another discussion with the owner this Saturday to see if he will take responsibility. Otherwise, it looks like I have to get it repaired and then sue for the cost.

I hate to throw a fellow tender under the bus but yeah I'm going to say that was definitely his fault.

I would go back and show the owner the window in the same position you have shown us.

This isn't normal for a "professional". I'm sorry you're going through this but please don't let this negative experience sour you. A true professional will take pride in their work, and admit when they're at fault. And this company/installer is definitely at fault.

Go back to the tint shop and look for the guy with a big skid mark on his pants. That's probably the guy that tinted your Porsche.
